Teacher Journey Guide · Stage 1 of 6
Is this program right for me?
Whether you are completely new, an experienced National/American-curriculum educator, or a subject expert without teaching experience — here is exactly who IG Career fits and why.
I’m completely new—is this for me?
Absolutely. The program is built to start with you from zero, even if this is the first time you hear about the IGCSE system. You’ll learn the whole system and how to start right from day one.
I’ve been teaching for years—what will I gain?
Even with experience, you’ll find details that lift your level: thinking like an IGCSE teacher, handling exams, understanding how marking really works, dealing with parents, building your professional name, and sharpening the way you explain.
I’m not a teacher at all—can I join?
If you have strong knowledge of your subject and you want to enter teaching, the program fits you very well.
I teach National or American—will it work for me?
Of course. You’ll learn the differences between the systems and how to move your thinking and practice into IGCSE teaching.
Do I need to be a Faculty of Education graduate?
No. What matters most is strong subject knowledge and a real willingness to learn.
What academic background is recommended?
For Chemistry: A2 English and prior study in Pharmacy or a related field. For Biology: A2 English and prior study in Medicine or a related field. Teaching experience in another syllabus is a plus—not a requirement.
I’m still a university student—can I start now?
If your academic level is strong and you’re thinking about a career in teaching, this program is an excellent starting point.
